Fix that Firefox Download Pop Up

As many of you know I love Firefox and the added browser functionality that many of its extensions give.

Alas, the default download dialogue box is a pain in the butt on soooooo many levels.

Today I discovered an extension that places the download box on the toolbar and it doesn’t need any extra click to close it etc

Just go - Tools / Add Ons / Get Extensions / & look for ‘Download St us Bar’/

It’s a very nice extension for those who hate extra clicks.

In Firefox 3.0, just go to Tools/Options and uncheck the “Show the Downloads window when downloading a file” box (Main tab). I also select “Always ask me where to save files”. This makes Firefox act like IE. Personally, I don’t see what’s supposed to be so great about Firefox, but my IE has been freezing a lot lately, so I decided to give it a try.
