Each year when I have to teach 3d shapes in Mathematics I always struggle to find the disk with all my nets on it. This year I’m getting in early and I’m planning on getting them onto my website so I can find them relatively easily You will notice that I’ve added a memory tag to each face i.e. a square pyramid has three triangular faces and one square face. The net prints out in A4 and is a nice size to make a class mobile out of.
You can download the net as a Word document or and Acrobat file from the Mathematics area of my website.
cheers
Adrian

Adrian, thanks for the 3D Shape Concentration Game. I will be using it in my third grade classroom tomorrow. We are preparing for the ISAT
standardized tests (yippee…) and have to learn many of these geometric terms.
Last week I was working with my kids to make their own flash cards… they were miserable and complained the whole time. Your cards are so nice looking! I’m sure my students will love them.
By the way, I LOVE Mark Twain AND Lisa Simpson! I will come back and explore more of your resources when I have time.
I hope it’s warm down there… We’re having the nastiest winter since 1979 in Chicago. Yuck!

I have a 15mins micro teach to do for an interview and have spent all day looking for something on 3D shapes on internet. This is great going
to do it with my 3D shape bingo. Hope it works, thanks for sharing.

Hey Monkey,
Don’t let the dot com fool you. When I first set up my site I was so broke I couldn’t afford the extra $35 for the au to show that I’m an Aussie
I know that we have all sorts of agencies out recruiting teachers to work in the UK. I wonder if there are similar organisations for people wanting to head to the States?
cheers
